I started college at Oakland University and graduated from Lawrence Technological University with a Bachelor's in Mechanical Engineering in 1988. I started at Chrysler in 1982 and retired in 2017. I first worked in the Stress Lab doing measurement, analysis, and testing. Then I transferred to the Mathematical Simulation group (22 years), performing mechanical analysis and software development. During my career, I received 2 United States patents.
I have always been a runner, limiting myself to 2 miles a day. Then in 1998, I found yoga for peace of mind and stress relief. Primarily for my own health, I became a registered instructor in 2001. I only taught a few times in studios but found a calling teaching yoga to at risk youth weekly for 20 years at the Common Ground / Sanctuary. In 2010, I added weight training to my routine.
I became a publisher under the name Red Falcon Press in 2008. To date, I have these books published on Amazon:
Elements and Methods of Hatha Yoga Class Design
20 Healthy Bean-Based Sauces
27 Progressive Intonation Exercises for Violin
27 Progressive Intonation Exercises for Viola
27 Progressive Intonation Exercises for Cello
I have been playing acoustic guitar since 1972 and my style is mainly folk rock covers. I have been working lately on creating harmonized melodies. I perform when I get the chance. I started violin in 1994 and took weekly lessons for about 30 years. I am currently launching a performance routine with violin and digital backing tracks. The material is a mix of classical and pop.
I teach guitar sporadically and have recently been approved to teach violin through Lessonface, an online platform.
